GIFT is growing again, and we hope you will join our Team!

The Global Institute of Forest Therapy and Nature Connection (GIFT)  is a global training organization teaching nature connection skills, based in Canada. Our tagline is ‘Guided by Nature, We Heal’.  There is a growing body of data and research showing the benefits to our mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health from spending time in nature. In addition, when we heal our sense of separation from the more-than-human world, we lean into reciprocity and care for the Earth.

We are looking for a Marketing Specialist who can help us share this message, and invite students who share this passion and commitment to train with us. GIFT is poised for exciting organizational growth, so we are looking for someone who can help chart the course for successful growth.

You have a strong, demonstrable background and experience implementing robust national and global marketing strategies. Training and experience in both traditional and contemporary marketing strategies (including social media) are required, and experience promoting training organizations, sales, and/or not-for-profits would be considered an asset.

As a marketing specialist, you are a savvy social media user, who thrives in this medium, and understands how to keep our posts on top of the (changing) algorithms across all platforms, with expertise using Google ads, google analytics, Instagram, Linkedin, and FB/Meta. Influencer status or network, and graphic design skills will be required.

Your writing and communication skills are extraordinary, and you know how to identify and build strategic partnerships that can broaden our reach. Marketing research, booking our public speakers, and savvy and unique sales strategies are exciting to you. You understand the value of diverse approaches to building our brand.

You understand that marketing is about connection, and how we invite people to feel.

As a remote contractor, you can be located anywhere in Canada (team meetings are held by Zoom, so consideration of team time zones for ease of collaboration), and you have a driven work ethic, are self-motivated, your superpower is an organization, and you are flexible enough to meet emerging needs and timelines. Your well-equipped home office includes a computer, stable high-speed internet, Microsoft Office tools, and programs, as well as graphic design programs. An added bonus would be mastery of web page design using CMSs and considering SEO.

Reporting to the COO (located in PST), you are a team player who thrives on collaboration, with a love for strategic and timely action, and high emotional intelligence. You love a plan but can respond to emerging needs with ease.

Contract Hours- Approx 7 hours/week (364 hours/year), with room to grow as we do!

Contract Rate- $32/hr
